Performance Psychiatry  ·  Oxford, since 2010

A private practice for chairs, principals, and high-stakes leaders.

We accept no more than six new principal engagements each year.
All work is governed by clinician-grade confidentiality.

Our work

A small, senior practice in performance psychiatry.

Harris Hawkins works with chairs, principals, and boards who carry weight that cannot easily be shared elsewhere — succession decisions, board fractures, the long-running cost of high office, or the quiet erosion that accumulates with years at the top.

Our work is clinical in standard and confidential in nature, but practical in shape. Most engagements unfold across one-to-one sessions, paired with periodic group or boardroom work. A typical cycle runs from twelve weeks to eighteen months. We work alongside existing advisors, legal counsel and family-office structures.

We do not publish a client list. References are available on introduction.

Who we work with

Chairs. Founders. Family-office heads.

Our principals are based in Doha, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, London, and Geneva. They share three things in common: the seriousness of what they carry, the privacy required to address it, and a preference for working with one senior advisor over the long term — rather than a rotation of consultants.

How we engage

By introduction, and at length.

All work begins with a confidential introduction — usually through an existing principal, a board chair, or a trusted intermediary. A first private conversation, held in Doha, London, or by secured line, establishes whether the engagement is right for both sides. From there, scope, cadence, and fee are agreed before any formal work begins.

Fees are quoted by engagement, structured to the seniority and scope of the work. We do not invoice by the hour.

Dr Tk Harris

The principal practitioner.

Dr Harris is the founder and principal practitioner of Harris Hawkins. Trained in medicine and psychiatry through the UK system, with the practice founded in Oxford in 2010, his work focuses on performance under high stakes — boardrooms, succession transitions, principal-level leadership, and the silent costs that accumulate at the top of an organisation.

He is the author of Exceptional (Amazon, 2023) and contributes a discreet clinical voice to selected projects, including the MentalWealth advisory platform.
