Executive Psychological Security

The Sentry Framework

Independent behavioural-risk intelligence for leaders, boards, and high-consequence decisions.

Leaders operating at high scrutiny and high pressure are especially aware of the risks inherent in human nature itself. It is simply misguided to believe that there are any successful organisations free from the risks of misbehaviour.

In an age where news travels literally at the speed of light, it is ever more important that successful organisations become as fluent in human errors and misbehaviours as they are in finance, strategy, or any other mission-critical capacity.

There is clear, growing demand for executive risk intelligence, reputation-risk advisory, and psychosocial and behavioural risk management. Expertise in human cognition and behaviour has led us to answer this need in a particularly advantaged way.

Preventing incidents and managing the risks before they materialise is surely more efficient and satisfactory all round.

The Sentry Framework is a perimeter watch that protects high-pressure leaders and boards from human-factor risks. The result is integrity in decisions and governance of culture, reputation, conduct, and human factor intelligence. The difference is felt in every indicator that matters, from bottom to top.

Any Sentry Framework product, once it is in place, helps you yourself to be more expert in human nature. It helps you to know what people really think, and how to say and do the right things to begin with. It is closeness and expertise, particularly tuned for senior executives and leaders. Money and time are saved, and value is preserved, by preventing incidents and decisions that would otherwise be picked up downstream by PR apparatus, legal advice, media training, or missed altogether by investigations and background checks.

What we examine

Judgement, influence, and the conditions that shape them.

The Sentry Framework sits in the space between organisational risk management, direct advisory support, and human-factor due diligence. It looks specifically at:

How we work

Confidential, evidence-led, and precise.

We combine psychological insight with governance discipline. The work is confidential, grounded in observable behaviour and documented decision process, and directed toward practical action rather than diagnosis. We separate fact from inference, and inference from recommendation.

We do not conduct covert surveillance, casual personality labelling, or informal investigations, and we make no claim about a person's character without a defensible evidential basis. Where the situation calls for it, we work alongside legal counsel, governance, HR, risk, communications, and investigative professionals, rather than in place of them.

Three ways in

The engagements.

Executive Sentry Partner

Suited to chief executives, founders, chairs, and family-office principals

A second mind for high-consequence decisions and relationships: independent, clinically and organisationally informed. Confidential advisory sessions, rapid consultation before a major announcement or negotiation, and a quiet, continuing read on influence, dependency, and behavioural drift before either becomes a liability.

The Inner Circle Map

Suited to boards navigating succession, turnaround, merger, or leadership transition

An independent account of who genuinely shapes a leader's judgement, as distinct from who appears to on an organisational chart: who has real access, who is filtered out, and where dependency, factionalism, or distorted information may already be doing quiet damage.

The Red Team

Suited to a decision, appointment, or announcement that cannot afford to go wrong

A structured challenge to a draft message, decision, or strategy before it becomes public: what it reveals, what it provokes, what a hostile reader would make of it, and what has quietly been left out of the room.

Who this serves

Boards. Founders. Principals. Family offices.

Our clients are boards, chief executives, founders, family businesses, and private-equity-backed companies operating where judgement, conduct, and reputation materially affect enterprise value, together with the individuals within them who carry that exposure personally. The need is most acute in highly scrutinised or fast-moving conditions: regulatory disputes, contested markets, succession, and the pressure that concentrates around a small number of people at the top.

Get in touch

Introductions are received in writing, as ever.

As with all our work, this begins with a confidential conversation rather than a proposal. Write to us in confidence, and we will arrange a first conversation to establish whether the fit is right, and what form the engagement should take.

We do not retain enquiries that do not progress.
